Why does it taste so authentic...

I was born and raised in Thailand, where there was an abundance of herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables growing around my family home. It wasn't in a garden or vegetable plot, it was just here, there and everywhere! From a young age, I was often the one asked to blend the herbs and spices in a stone pestle and mortar, until my arm was about to fall off. I didn't enjoy it, but in hindsight, it taught me all I know.

Today, my family's traditional blend of newly harvested herbs are stone ground to make a fresh paste, which is combined with a mix of whole spices that have been pan roasted to extract the natural oils before being finely ground.

We do not add any sugar, oil, shrimp paste or any artificial preservatives, additives or coloring to our fresh blend which is then mildly pasteurized to retain the natural qualities and goodness so you can enjoy that distinctive aroma of fresh herbs and spices when you open the packet.

How to make a Mae Jum Curry!

Really really good

Ok, so first admission we used the entire pack for two people, simply added ingredients as per instructions but only used one can of coconut milk. Was perfect, suspect had we used double as per instructions it would have been far to bland for our palette. So very pleased and will definitely order again

Incredible depth of flavour!

Purchased two packs ,containing a variety of pastes, a while ago. Today I prepared a Thai green chicken curry in our slow cooker. I had not tried a Thai curry using this method and I was not disappointed. I am uncertain why one person left only 1 star in their review! Clearly very difficult to please! I look forward to using the Thai pastes in the coming weeks and will certainly reorder. The depth of flavour is on par with our local Thai restaurant but at a fraction of the cost and convenience of not having to order takeaway!

Adore these pastes

Adore these pastes. The green curry is quite spicy so we add a bit more coconut milk and reduce the amount of paste we use. Just bought the bundles as we are having fun experimenting with the different flavours. Really cost effective and delicious.

The BEST curry paste! We are heavily investing in our health at the moment and its SO hard to find clean curry pastes!! This paste is SO tasty and as someone who cooks constantly, having an easy quick meal like this is a huge blessing. 1000/10 recommend this !! ❤️🙏

You need a lot of extra ingredients to make these, like palm sugar, shrimp paste and fish sauce, which I don’t have in my cupboards at home.
I left out the shrimp paste as I didn’t have it and it was pretty bland

I replied to your other low star rating that our pastes are unashamedly a blend of the right herbs and spices for the dish. The amount of salt we add is just enough to act as a natural perservative. If it tastes bland, then it needs a little more sugar and salt, that is all.

Best Thai pastes you can buy

I have never been able to recreate a good Thai paste myself as can’t get the ingredients easily. Supermarket jars just don’t cut it. Decided to try this and right away I was transported back to Thailand. The freshness, clean taste that tickles your tastebuds, and simplicity of use gets 10/10 from me.
