Why does it taste so authentic...

I was born and raised in Thailand, where there was an abundance of herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables growing around my family home. It wasn't in a garden or vegetable plot, it was just here, there and everywhere! From a young age, I was often the one asked to blend the herbs and spices in a stone pestle and mortar, until my arm was about to fall off. I didn't enjoy it, but in hindsight, it taught me all I know.

Today, my family's traditional blend of newly harvested herbs are stone ground to make a fresh paste, which is combined with a mix of whole spices that have been pan roasted to extract the natural oils before being finely ground.

We do not add any sugar, oil, shrimp paste or any artificial preservatives, additives or coloring to our fresh blend which is then mildly pasteurized to retain the natural qualities and goodness so you can enjoy that distinctive aroma of fresh herbs and spices when you open the packet.

How to make a Mae Jum Curry!

I have never tasted anything like your jungle curry. It was terrible no taste just hot hot hot

Hi there, we're sorry that you found our Jungle curry too hot, it is one of the spiciest Thai curries and we don't shy away from its authentic heat profile! However, there are ways to make it milder to suit your personal spice tolerance.

For example, you can start by using less paste to begin with such as 1/3 of the pack per meal (a whole pack if intended to produce 8 portions). Another option is to use coconut milk intend of water, this will drastically bring down the heat although it won't be a traditional style Jungle curry.

We're going to reach out to your via email to extends our apologies incase you don't see this reply. We hope you have a better experience with the other pastes you bought, they are all lower spice ratings than the Jungle at 1-3 out of 5, and not 5/5 like the Jungle.

Perfect spicy Thai curry

Thought I’d give the jungle curry a try as I do like a hot curry. Used some turkey fillets with baby corns and a small tin of coconut milk and the result was perfect. Plenty of flavour and spicy heat. Only used about a quarter of the packet and put the rest in the fridge so the pastes are quite cost effective. Once I’ve finished the jungle curry paste I’ve got a Kua Kling paste to try and then I’ll buy the red and green curry pastes

That’s four different packs I have tried now all have been superb.Highly recommended with easy to follow instruction.
